Methodology of Survey – Topography and Mapping.
Land – Contour survey for Industrial, Irrigation and property Development:
» The survey shall be carried out using high precision instruments such as Electronic Total Stations and Auto Levels.
» The Survey shall be based on closed traverse, which shall be tied up to permanent Control points/pillars.
» The survey shall be based on a based base line and grid system, which shall be Established for defining the coordinates of the various details.
» Boundary stones/pegs at all corners and turning points shall be established at Division/missing places.
» All religious places-temples, mosques, churches, graveyards etc., including location,
building lines and clear dimensions of compound walls and extensions.
Location of roadside drains, clearly identifying the type (open/close) width of drain Including the beginning and end of drains. All water features i.e., ponds, lakes, streams, canals shall be recorded.
Identification of all bridges, culverts and other Irrigation structures shall be spotted Along with, width of bridges/culverts (width of slab or diameter of pipe) course of water path, skew of bridge/Culvert arrangements.
» Details of Right-of-way/Boundary/border stones, supplemented as required with Information from Land Revenue Offices for location of missing stones.
Ground levels shall be on rectangular grid pattern, as specified, additional levels shall be taken at sports of sudden change of levels.
For existing roads and nalas, levels at regular intervals and at all junctions shall be Spotted along with top levels, width, curvature, etc.,
» Other important levels such as HFL, MFL and low/high tides, etc shall be spotted out as instructed.
» Benchmark/grid pillars shall be constructed as instructed and their grid values shall be Assigned.
» Additional works such as excavation of trial pits and collection of soil samples shall also be carried out for the observation of soil characteristics.
Industrial Buildings and Factories.
» For Layout purposes, the layouts shall be designed as per CMDA or Corporation rules and standards Roads and Boundaries shall be spotted and fixed with boundary stones. |
